Fails to Meet Expectations

Rating: 1/5

Our testing team at the Master Technician Consumer Testing Lab recently evaluated the Antsig CAT6 RJ45 8P8C Plug – 10 Pack to assess its performance and usability. Unfortunately, our results were disappointing, and we would not recommend this product for any application.

We used the official Antsig passthrough crimp tool and official Antsig Cat6 cable in our testing, following the manufacturer’s instructions to ensure accurate results. However, our findings were a far cry from what we expected. The pass-through holes for the wires were either too small for CAT6 cables, causing the wires to get stuck or too large, allowing the wires to slide around inside the holes and often moving to an incorrect location, resulting in failed connections.

In addition to the issues with the pass-through holes, the cable tensioner snapped off in nearly every crimp, making it difficult to achieve a secure connection. Out of the five CAT6 cables we built, only one was properly connected, and even then, the plug seemed loose when plugged into a socket. This lack of consistency and reliability is unacceptable for a product marketed as a CAT6 connector.

We would not recommend this product to anyone seeking a reliable and easy-to-use CAT6 or CAT5/5E connector. The quality and performance issues we encountered far outweigh any potential cost savings. For consumers looking for a reliable connector, we recommend exploring other options that meet the relevant standards and provide consistent performance.
